Lessons Learnt from IPL 20-20

Indian Premier League started on 4^th of April. I saw the matches and learnt lession. I thought that I should share them with you.

Positive Approach: You have to be positive in your approach towards life. Sachin has passed the age when most of the players think of retiring. He has proved everybody wrong. He completed his much awaited 100th century. He is confident that he can play. He has set examples for others. His positive approach toward the game has kept him in the field and he is performing magnificently.

  

Faith: You have to put faith on your team members. LEVI was allowed to take strike first. He has never played on the Indian soil. It was his first IPL match. Sachin was confident that he can do it and he proved himself by playing a fiery knock. Harbhajan Singh was given the captaincy instead of Sachin Tendulkar. The team management had the faith in him.

Over confidence: Over confidence can be dangerous. When the IPL started some teams which were strong on paper lost and the teams which were understood weak won their matches. The over confidence drowned them. Mumbai Indian lost their first match because of this reason.

Believe in Yourself and Practise: You should not just sit idle in your bad times. Harbhajan Singh was out of the Indian team from a long time. He was not frustrated. In the meantime he practiced hard. He developed a new way of bowling. His performance with the ball was good in the first match and he is also capable of batting. One of the features of his batting is that he attacks his opponents.

Team work: It is the team work which makes an organization successful not an individual. Pune warrior won not because Gangulay played well. It was the other team members whose contribution made them the winners in the couple of matches.

Part 2: What I like most in the Sony’s TV CID Serial

Logo: When the serial starts it shows a CID logo which is unique in itself.

Casting: When the serial starts it introduces all the main characters of the serial. The casting has been given a new look. It looks fresh. It shows the uniqueness of each of the character in CID team. 

Mission statement:  CID has a new mission statement which states “Sach ke age, jurm ke piche”.

New Episodes: Every episode is a new one. It has a different story. It creates interests. 

Bravery stories: When the serial starts it shows one of the bravery stories which are included in the bravery award contest. 

Social message: In the recent episode it appealed to all the viewers to call police if they observe child labour.

Operation life Span: CID has completed fifteen years of service that’s an achievement in itself and day by day it is increasing.

Young faces: Young faces are getting included in the CID team and they are performing the best.

Fearlessness: They are ready to sacrifice their lives for the service. I salute them. They are not ready to compromise.

Honesty: Sometimes you must have seen in the serial that the culprit try to give them bribe but they have the motto clear in the mind to wipe out all the evils from our society. They don’t compromise. In the recent episode the criminal tried to give a bribe of 50 crores. It is a big amount. A evil person can compromise after hearing this amount.

Support of the people: In the recent episode one of the victim who was kidnapped by the culprit helped CID to get out of a troubled situation.

Individual performances: It is the actors who make a serial effective. It is their performances which make the weak script extraordinary. Sometimes the script is the weak. Most of the time the script is focussed on the main characters like ACP Praduman, Daya, Abhijeet.  Sometimes it is more focussed on Forensic. It depends on the situation.

Love of the audience: It is the love of the audience which has made this serial go on air from such a long time.

QUALITIES of CHARACTERS who INFLUENCED me from the Serial ‘HAVAN’

Whenever I am watching a serial I am influenced by two things. First when it shows some incidents which deals with reality and second when deals with spirituality. I am watching the serial ‘HAVAN’ from some time which deals with spirituality to some extent.

BAAP JI is shown as a very powerful spiritual GURU who has many powers. In the recent episode I saw the evil loses all its powers when it comes in contact of this master. In one of the scene it is shown that he has a still mind. He has control over his thoughts. He knows that he is a different entity and the events going around him are different. His face shows no signs of sorrow. He is always dressed in white. White is the colour of love and peace. He has never used his powers for any evil deeds. He always used his powers for the wellbeing of the mankind. He always tries to take neutral decisions but how could an ordinary person would understand him? 

There is another character in the serial whose name is ‘Astha’. She has full faith in ‘BAAP JI’. She has strong belief that the master would help him when she is in trouble.  She is a true believer. She never doubts ‘BAAP JI’ decisions. In the recent episode I saw that she is trying to lit a fire to cook food but for some reason she is unable to do that. The master arrives on the scene and gives him a dry leaf. She places the leaf in the woods and the woods catches fire. In one of the scenes her husband orders her to go out of the house. In the next scene she says to herself that the master is taking her test. Only a true devotee can think like this. In one of the scene her husband tries to burn her but the master sends his messenger to save her. She forgives her husband. It is hard to forgive if somebody from our family tries to hurt us. One reason to forgive his husband is that she knows that when ego takes control on the mind of a person, the person loses his ability of thinking. She is driven by understanding that anger would lead to nothing but forgiveness can change the mind of the person. It can transform the person.

     

In a scene it is shown that the master is hurt. When ‘Astha’ comes to know that she send a power for the master and when he knows that her devotee has sent a powder he without thinking for a single time orders to apply the powder around his wound. This scene shows his love.

In one of the scene he goes to his enemy and asks him to stop evil things. This shows that he has no ego. It is written in the Vedas that ego is one of the obstacles in Self-realisation.

One thing I came to know after watching the serial. If there are no bad characters in the serial then the good characters are useless. It is the bad characters who put weightage to the good character because we see the serial from different understanding. If a villan is not there in the movie the hero’s character is not given the full justice. It is the bad man who makes the hero popular. Without evil there is no value for good. 

Without devotees there is no existence of God. God needs devotees to express him.

My Opinion on serial named ‘Afshar Bitiya’ Part 4

I once again want to praise the script. It shows the qualities of a born officer. It also shows that an officer can tackle any situation with his/her thinking ability and knowledge. A girl commits suicide. She is rushed to the hospital by her parents and neighbors. The doctor refuses to start the medical treatment. He says it is a police case and can’t do until the police arrive on the scene. The parents request the doctor but he refuses. The girl sees the whole situation. She goes to the doctor and asks him why he is not starting the medical treatment. He again says that it is a police case. The girl tells him that the rule has been changed. Now if a patient needs medical attention immediately he should be provided. The case could be registered with the police latter. First is the life of the patient. The doctor gets convinced with the answer and starts the medical treatment immediately.

As I told in my previous blog that I would tell you whether the girl passed the exam or not. The results are out. She gets failed in the exam. She could not believe her luck. She is stunned. Her teacher is also stunned by the result. She goes to the cyber café to cross check her exam. The result is same. The computer monitor also shows the result as fail. The expression on her face shows how it feels when you work so hard to get something and you don’t get it. Only a student can understand her grief. She worked so hard. She was confident that she would pass the exam. Her parents also can’t believe her luck.

Everybody knows that when an officer does something wrong he/she gets criticized. Same happens with the girl also. She is criticized publicly. She behaved liked an officer. She didn’t lose her mind. She remained calm in the situation. Somebody says that she should have studied in English medium. She failed because she studied in hindi medium. Her heart knows that she studied honestly. She put her hundred percent in the exam. She left no stone unturned but still she failed in the exam. After a while she accepts her faith. She returns home. She started planning her strategy. Whenever a person with responsibility fails, he does not stop there. He starts to plan for the future because one opportunity lost does not mean that it is the end. The opportunity is endless. Just you need a start motivation and support.

She is confident that she can’t fail in the exam. Something is wrong with the results. She plans to go to Patna which is in Bihar. The examination board office is situated there. She decides to give an application for verification for the result. She tells her father. Her father is still stunned. Her mother says that it would be of no advantage. She explains her that she is confident and she would clear this exam also. Her big brother and her sister support her decision. Still her mother tells her to reconsider her decision but she is adamant to go to Patna. Her teacher arrives on the spot and explains everybody that she is correct. She packs her bag and goes to Patna. Let us see what happen next to her.

After watching this episode I came to know that how it feels to get failed when you put a lot of effort and commitment. When I was in school there was a teacher whose son feared that he would score lesser in the exam, after coming home he cried for an hour. When I was in second year of engineering I saw a girl crying because she failed in one subject. I can’t describe how the character in the serial felt in words. It is hard to explain. She was heartbroken but she used her presence of mind. She didn’t do any foolish thing like committing suicide as many students do.
